Letters Positive response (letter)Thank you for the article on Call to Change in Tasmania. Archbishop Doyle's restructuring plan for the Hobart Archdiocese after extensive consultation involving many Church members - priests, religious and lay people - sounds like a positive response to our rapidly changing social environment and moral landscape. The challenge to have many further conversations, with lay people actively involved, deserves particular commendation. Five years ago the Archbishop of Perth granted approval for a similar conversation, but with some topics off the agenda. The local Catholic newspaper would not advertise it. It will be particularly important to restore the rapport, built up over the 35 years since Vatican II, with fellow Christians, which Dominus Jesus has set back.
