I would like to thank Marcel White for his excellent article 'The scandal of Australia's anti-life Catholic politicians' which I have only just come across in the March issue of AD2000.

The situation in regard to the leadership qualities of so-called 'Catholic' politicians may look pretty bleak at the moment but I feel that there is great hope for the future of Australia if there are young men and women coming up through the professions with such a depth of devotion and knowledge of their faith as Marcel and others so clearly have.

The far-sightedness and wisdom of John Paul II's long reign is beginning to bear fruit in abundance and we thank God for it.
