When AD2000 first appeared, I wrote to protest the extreme "wordiness" of many articles and correspondents and the (then) Editor said that "the point was well taken."
However, I find that this situation has grown steadily worse ever since - I feel that if you can't express an opinion in less than three columns of jawbreaker words, then I for one, don't want to know about it - as the kids might say "boring!"
