I have read with admiration the wise and orthodox article on St Francis of Assisi and individual confession and Holy Communion written by Fr Sebastian Camilleri OFM.

Unfortunately, I was one of those who frequented the Third Rite of general absolution.

Now I feel very contented that I am back on my knees at the confessional seeking real pardon for my past sins from our Catholic priest who wants us all to be truly reconciled with God.

One hopes that many others, like myself, have returned to individual confession. God bless Father Camilleri.
