The Holy Father has declared a Eucharistic Year commencing in October with the Eucharistic Congress in Mexico, and concluding with the Synod of Bishops to be held in Rome in October 2005.

The Fraternity of St Peter's Melbourne apostolate will mark the opening of the Year of the Eucharist with the celebration of the Forty Hours' prayer at St Aloysius', Caulfield.

The program is as follows:

* Sunday 10 October, 11.00am, Mass of Exposition and Procession; 4.00pm, Vespers; 9.00pm, Compline.

* Monday 11 October, 7.30pm, Mass for Peace; 9.00pm, Compline.

*Tuesday 12 October, 7.30pm, Mass of Deposition, Procession and Benediction.

The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration throughout this time.
