I appeal to all Victorian readers to attend the Freedom to be Born March on Saturday 18 September. The march from the Treasury Gardens to Parliament House via Flinders, Elizabeth and Bourke Streets will start at 10:30am. The estimated time of arrival at Parliament House is between 12:00 noon and 12:30pm.

A fast approaching Federal election makes it essential that candidates be made aware that the rights of the unborn and the dignity of human life are issues of concern to many in the electorate. A good attendance on 18 September will do much to achieve this result. A poor attendance will reinforce the prevailing attitude that nobody cares.

Former US President, Ronald Reagan, once said, "All those in favour of abortion have already been born." These people, however, who have benefited from the freedom to be born, would deny others this most basic human right. Without this right, what other human rights have any meaning?

All who believe in God and acknowledge Him as the author of life have an obligation to protect the unborn. You can show your commitment by attending the march and encouraging others to come. A good source of encouragement is to form a group and come as a body.
