Will you help us pray for priests - in a Marian way? It is important we are united in our intention to pray for priests and priestly vocations with Mary Mother of Priests (cf Acts 1:14).

Where would we be without priests and the sacraments? Today Australia and the world desperately need more priests. How can we help? Jesus said: "Pray to the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth labourers into his harvest" (Mt 9:38).

Our Pope has called for a global rediscovery of the Rosary, as the ideal prayer for asking God for His blessing of world peace. Let us pray for the renewal of the world, through renewal of the Church and renewal of the individual's heart.

October 2002 to October 2003 is the Year of the Rosary. Marian spirituality is centred on surrender to Jesus Christ through Mary in the Holy Spirit's power for the glory of Our Father, as well as prayer, and renewal of the Church through renewal of a person's heart.

"Pray with Mary Mother of Priests" is an organisation of the lay faithful. Our goal is to pray for our Pope, bishops, priests and for priestly vocations. Our mission is to become available for this work of prayerful service to Jesus' priests.

Our three-fold prayer commitment is to pray the Mass, Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy every day for these intentions which we place under the patronage of Saint Joseph. For those who cannot attend Mass, we suggest a commitment of seven Our Father's, Hail Mary's and Glory Be's.

Let us pray in Rosary prayer groups across Australia and the world in churches, homes, schools, communities. If you are united with us in this intention, please contact Friends of the Cross, PO Box 97 Tugun Qld 4224, Australia.
