The Australian Chesterton Society will hold the Second National Chesterton Conference at St Joseph's College, Hunter's Hill, Sydney, from 30 September to 1 October 2001. The principal guest speaker will be Lord David Alton, a Life Peer and passionate defender of human life. An admirer of Chesterton's writings, he is Vice-President of the UK Chesterton Society. He will be speaking on "Chesterton and Eugenics." A number of papers on Chesterton's writings and philosophy will also be presented.
